I saw a visibly pregnant woman smoking today downtown on 19th Street. It was such a shock that I actually did a (discreet) double take to make sure I'd seen right.

yeah, i smoked through my pregnancy. the doctor, oddly enough, didn't recommend that i quit, only that i cut down. she was worried that the stress of my job with the added stress of quitting the addiction would endanger the pregnancy more than smoking alone did. i was lucky. i was finally able to quit 9 years later.
i've seen that before. last time was in philly in fishtown where the crack addicted neighbors of my friend were hanging on the street and the preggars misses was having a smoke. innerestin.
